Parlor Stove Cooking

Anyone hungry?

Anyone who has a parlor stove has the ability to prepare meals with their stove. I picked up this old fireplace ‘arm’ from a company that went out of business 15 years ago (you can find similar items on the net or could easily fashion one yourself in your shop). I can hang pots from it or use it to roast or grill. I had a buddy weld up a base for it and I screwed it into my hearth. Very, very sturdy. When I’m done with cooking I can just swivel it to the side or slip the arm out of the base and remove it completely.

Edible

Remember, at least these three things:
1. You don't need alot of coals to cook in a parlor stove.
2. Everything will cook faster than you are accustomed to.
3. Always keep fire extinguishers nearby.
